Sales is the perfect balance of everything I am passionate about. It requires solving problems, helping others, building relationships, and pushing yourself to be the best version of yourself. It embraces core values that I carry myself by. Grit, resiliency, determination, and perseverance through adversity. It means having the mental fortitude to overcome setbacks, learn from failure, and continuously improve, operating under the mindset that you can always get better. It lets me embrace my competitive nature, and gives me the opportunity to perform under pressure. While sales represents the traits of who I am at my best, it will more importantly give me the platform to cultivate fulfilling relationships, and provide solutions to those who are in need.

About The Professional Selling Program
The Professional Selling Program at UCF is an esteemed and highly respected sales program designed with the purpose of molding students into successful sales leaders. The program selects an exclusive elite group of students, forming a competitive yet supportive environment. Over the year-long process, students are taught theoretical approaches to sales techniques, and are able to practice and apply these techniques hands-on in numerous different scenarios. The program includes a mentorship aspect, with students receiving a mentor for the duration of the program. By the end of the program, students graduate with the skills and expertise to find immediate success in the workforce and be key contributors to the company who hires them.

“I've always said that in sales, there is a lot that can be taught, but the one thing that can't be taught? Tenacity. Jake has unrivaled tenacity that won't just take him far in sales, but also in life."
Stefanie Mayfield-Garcia, Professor, Professional Selling
"It was wonderful having Jake in my Professional selling class and seeing his growth in such a short time period. He was always present, fully engaged, and an active participant. After completing each sales role play, he thoroughly reviewed his performance to learn from the process and continuously improve. This growth mindset will serve him well as he continues on his career path. He has natural gifts in communications, such as listening and asking the right questions. I believe he will continue to be a top sales student and formidable sales professional."
